Its Been a Long Time

So it's been a long time.

am I organized? Did I accomplish what I started with this blog?

                                  NO

                                         NO

                                                                   NO

I'm embarrassed to write that I'm in exactly the same spot I was in last year. If I have to be honest...I'm worse because I have health issues and the weight that I thought I would have lost by now is back and has added to itself.

              my fault

                    My Fault

                       MY FAULT!

Last year started off good. I was exercising with my friend three times a week. I was watching what I ate and was making slow but steady progress toward my weight lose goals. Then it kind of ended when I started to have health issues. I tired easily and chores and errands now take three times as long to accomplish if they were at all.

No excuse.

I could have tried to find another way.

I could have asked for help.

I could have stopped pretending that I was not in pain.

Essentially, I didn't take my own advice.

So here I am. Starting over again. Wondering if this time I will be successful.

Only time will tell.

In the meantime I am trying one of my own techniques to getting the house in order....

........I'm having a dinner party.

That's right, I invited guests over. Its pushing me to organize and giving me a "jump start". A total of 12 people will be eating here in my little cape house tomorrow night. I've been cleaning, organizing and throwing stuff away. I replaced some wall paper earlier this week and I am so pleased with the outcome. Whenever I start to get that panicky feeling I tell myself that these are my friends and they love me and I love them. They are not perfect either and tomorrow we can all be perfectly imperfect together.

If you want a "Jump Start" try inviting someone over. Have a few close friends over for cake and coffee or a simple pizza and movie night.

First rule... give yourself enough time. Give yourself at least a week to straighten up and organize your surroundings at a slow unhurried pace. By the time the day comes you might not have a perfect space but you'll look around and see what needs improvement. If the night was fun you will have the encouragement needed to keep the work going.

Good Luck, let me know if it works for you!!!

Blessings, Joanne

It's Friday... But Sunday's a Coming!
